Hells yeah. I got it installed next to the windows partition even with bitlocker on that drive enabled.
Dual boot on an arm laptop. Not a big fan of ubuntu but being that I didn't fuck up the install I'm happy. Disk encryption on the ubuntu drive is prob out of the question so I'll have to use local file stuff as a clunky work around but progress

It was bawler back years ago, it ran on seemingly everything.
It peaked for me after the ditched gnome2 for unity....around 2010 I think.
But yeah, it does seem broken and bloated.

I've just found Ubuntu and Debian to be generally broken on x86 too lately. I don't relish this, I'm one of those people who handed out those official printed Ubuntu CDs like a missionary

@mitchconner Oh good to know man.
It looks like the only thing not really working is that the sound levels are pretty low. It might need some tlc to get that fixed but other than that it looks like everything is functional.
