thinking about joining Pixabay to publish free imagery for the world at large. I know that people can just... do whatever they want when they save any of my artworks but due to complications regarding maybe certain copyright characters or people commissioning me things under their terms, it may be better to just provide a clear and direct resource for things i explicitly allow people to use. Pixabay seems fine, they have some NSFW stuff and allow AI. Some actual artists are there too to share their public domain stuff to share to the world.
Don't know if there's anything to be cautious about tho, or, if there's a better stock image site to register on?-

@ehhh I read over their terms, and it isn't particularly egregious... I would prefer they allowed the uploader to choose from CC licenses instead of their own in-house terms, but it's not a big issue for me. There's archived/archiveable posts showing them uploaded here earlier than there under more permissive license, so people can download it off there and use it commercially if they want to... I doubt Pixabay will go after them, and I certainly won't. I'd prefer they had to credit the artist as a term of use, but that's not a deal-killer for me. I say go for it.

@japananon if i join this website https://pixabay.com/ i may publish those foss mascots on it, since it was what gave me an idea to publish FTU art in the first place. However you did mention that those images are to be CC-BY-SA which isn't public domain but still expresses that people may use and remix it. I don't know, i don't even know how often people at large follow these specific rules when you do allow them to appropriate it :senko_hmmmm: so it's up to you - if you disagree with Pixabay's content licensing policy, then I will not upload the three wizards there.
