   pretty embarrassing to search for what major museums are doing about climate change only to find old news stories about major museum leaders signing on to that letter expressing concern about climate protests in museums!!!!!

     it's late and i need to go to bed but i think there is an institutional version of vocational awe in which educational/cultural heritage institutions are viewed as such paragons of human accomplishment that they are let off the hook from their own complicity with climate change ("we preserve art/knowledge/research, why should we be subjected to the same scrutiny as Exxon?"). The majority of higher ed, libraries, and museums have versions of this, shout out to the ones bucking the trend!!!
