and I've got DOSBox-X installed! but DOSBox 0.74 has a feature that DOSBox-X doesn't: you can save screenshots and they'll be 256-color with the proper palette

  @MisterMoo @alilly 0.74 IS current dosbox. There hasn't been a full release in 14 years.
  DOSBox-X, my fork of choice, does not. I haven't checked all the other ports, though
