today I used my computer mouse to control my recliner!
this wasn't an awesome Foone Hack though, I just accidentally yanked on a cable and the mouse was in a draw next to the wired remote.

if anyone saw that horrible accent-related typo, no you didn't
my motorized recliner seems to use the same connector as the IBM PC keyboard a 5-pin DIN.
no I've definitely never thought about making a keyboard that can control my recliner, definitely not
@gabe of course, this is me you're talking about
@foone have you considered using recliner settings as a keyboard?
@BRicker nasty! I had the power supply of mine burnt itself up recently, but thankfully it wasn't reclined when it happened
@foone
I had the good fortune to be the occupant of a motorized rocker-recliner when it released the magic smoke. (Good luck because that meant someone a generation older and less able to self extricate smart in it then.)
The recliner function's power-cord apparently had had a long running argument with the platform-rocker components, which eventually bared both wires, and thus arcing, circuit breaker trip, etc.
