   @charliejane I've heard the argument "but that would harm innovation!" Not that I understand it...

   Presumably it being a machine makes it O.K.? I don't see the diff.

     Is there an argument for why it's ethical for OpenAI to make uncompensated use of people's creative output that isn't also an argument in favor of pirating Microsoft products?

     I'm asking because I don't know, and I'm genuinely curious.
