More electronic devices should be sold in transparent plastic cases.
Not just because that was an awesome 90s thing that we've somehow lost, but because it helps me get an early start on reverse engineering if I don't even have to open (or buy) the thing to see what kind of circuits it has inside

I think that's shortsightedness. it should enumerate as a USB printer, and let you print things to it to cause fires.

and anyone peeling at it would find there's another massive sticker INSIDE that's just this:
