     Mastodon will indeed require far more efforts if your life goal is to end up as an influencer. You need to actually make real efforts to get people to follow you.

     In contrast to "make something viral once and the algorithms might boost you to users not knowing you".

     To me, that's an argument why the algorithmic approach has failed. You never really know what the algorithm might boost - and if what it boosts has real value to the SoMe users.

     @rolle it is not like nobody uses it, but I feel like kind of limited audience
     if being very popular is goal, maybe mastodon is really hard place to achieve it
