     right now the only recognition you get for hacking a nintendo console is a CCC talk and a lawsuit, which is bullshit.

     you should get a big trophy and a bunch of money, and any legal fees to tell Nintendo to piss off should also be paid.

     @foone Can there also be grants for writing new games for old hardware, or making elaborate hacks? I've long dreamed of paying someone to hack Fighting Vipers into a Saturn port of Sonic the Fighters.

     @foone I don't know if it counts for anything, but I at least recognise that if I was ever looking for a systems developer who can dig deeply into a complicated system, you'd be a shoe in.

     And, it's the kind of work I point to that I'm incapable of when I'm accused of being a very good programmer.
