Have you contributed to Steam in this autumn sale?

@Suzu
no, theres nothing to play :fenriruu_sad:

@Suzu Foxhole, Elin, Factorio Space Age. I didn't buy these during a sale, but during autumn.

@Suzu Job's being shitty, huh? Well, I have all the time in the world to game. My job became cozy. :tamamo_cozy:
Elin's kind of missing a few important things for now. But we get patches basically every day with fixes and additions, hence why I bought it despite it being Early Access, something I don't usually do. I trust Eun to a point.
I can't wait for him to add the wackiness of Elona in full force as well. :zt_smug2:

@Immahnoob Elin looks awesome.
Too bad lately I haven't had much time for games, my list of unplayed games on Steam is immense, and I waste the little time I have with live service games that want me to dedicate hours to them every day.

@wowaname this is better than an ad. This is organic growth of brand awareness through interaction with an influencing party that looks genuine and earnest (me).

@Immahnoob to be fair, I can't complain about my job. It's pretty cozy and I'm doing good in the money department (especially after I stopped being a retard with some expenses), and it's been quite a while since I last had to do overtime to complete all the shit I had to do.
My main problem is that I waste a lot of time doing... nothing useful, tbh. I also waste a lot of gaming time by playing a game for a while, dropping it, then returning to it after some long time and getting so lost that I have to start again from the beginning. And, of course, the live service games that eat your life.

@Suzu Just drop the live service games if they eat up too much of your life.
I do get you with that issue of restarting a game. That has been me a few times.
My problem until very recently was downloading games and "waiting to finish what I'm playing to try them", but that never happened, because I'd suddenly find excuses NOT to try the games anymore, and just play something else, I'd get "bored" of that genre.
Anyone remember Astebreed? I've had it downloaded for what, 11 years? Haven't played it yet. I sometimes remember about it when I'm doing something away from home, and then I'd forget about it again.
And I'm also not interested in it anymore, really.
So what I do now is that I actually play everything I download for a bit, and if it doesn't stick, only then do I drop it. What happened with this method though is that now I'm OK with pausing a game for a day or two, then playing another one, and I found myself playing multiple games in a single day, something I wouldn't do.
Like the 3 games I just told you about, for example. But add to that STALKER. I finally finished the vanilla Shadow of Chernobyl, and now I'm going to play Clear Sky soon.
I HAVE SURPASSED THAT BARRIER BASICALLY.

@Immahnoob "Just drop the live service games if they eat up too much of your life."
Already did. Mostly. I completely dropped every gacha I was playing, including Snowbreak that I had started playing recently. I did it after realizing that I was mostly just wasting time logging into them to do the dailies/weeklies.
The only one that still eats my life is Warframe, although I guess I could go a bit slower on this one, since it doesn't have as much FOMO as other live service games.
And, of course, I will no-life Path of Exile 2 as soon as it releases, relegating Warframe to the "just logging in to get my daily bonus/check foundry/check extractors/avoid my clan kicking me out" role.
Maybe with the ROG Ally I'll play a bit more, since I'll be able to play without needing to be in front of my PC all the time, and I won't have all the distractions like doomscrolling the fedi TL.
