on the topic of classic MNT Reform motherboard 3.0: at first a tiny voltage converter chip that's only used for the usb-uart went up in flames! but after removing it, the board is fine & calm and correctly requests 20V USB-C PD power.

I see the orange battery charging LEDs are now white? Could the LEDs maybe be made two different colors so that it's easy to see what is going on even though they are right next to each other?
