   Pic attached is on the social media ban in Australia for 16 year olds and under. While I don't have a problem with that alone, it will necessitate the use of digital ID for any adult who wishes to use social media on the Internet, which is something everyone should have a problem with. It has passed the senate.
   
   Labor and Liberal are our two main parties (analogous to democrats and republicans respectively). Every minor party of all political stripes voted against the bill. This is democracy manifest.

     @pernia It's hosted in America so, if it does come to that, I will just block Australia and require every Australian including myself to use a VPN to access. But I don't think it will come to that though because no one fucking cares about the fediverse. In any case I will sooner shut the instance down than implement digital IDs.

     @cassidyclown @nyanide unrelated but during Darell Brooks' trial they labeled his victims as Victim A, Victim B, ect and he had so many victims that they had to double them up like AA, BB and they wrapped around to and beyond Victim KKK.
     
     Beyond the embarrassment of labeling someone Victim KKK why would you not just use numbers
