     @chancey @eriner Though better than the current situation I don't think land ownership relates to civic responsibility in the same way anymore due to how mortgages work and the virtual impossibility of a normal person owning land in many cities today. Reintroducing a poll tax with a waiver for people who contributed a basic level of income taxes would be the most logical.

     @eriner I brought this up to a friend, and he said "but it means that YOU couldn't vote anymore" (I live in a shitty city apt.).

     Man, I don't care whether I can vote. I care about living in a decent, well-ordered society.
