   @Hyolobrika The only effect of Google Reader disappearance that I noticed was an explosive growth of its alternatives: self-hosted and commercial services; desktop and mobile clients; browser extensions.

     I wasn't around for that so I wasn't aware they had "died". I still use Feeder on my phone just fine for pretty much any blog I've come across.
     I'd be curious to know what it was like before the "death".
