     @arstechnica sure, go ahead, allow data caps. But make advertisers pay users for all of the bandwidth consumed in delivering their ads. If you're gonna turn my network access into a scarce commodity you better pay me every time you use my quota.

     Yeah, this is such bullshit it isn't funny.

     My thesaurus doesn't show "competitive environment" as being synonymous with "regional monopoly."

     Comcast had a data cap in my old town where they were the only game in town.

     In my current city where there is actual competition from multiple fiber providers, they don't enforce a data cap on their plans. Wonder why?
