   @Ene @ChristiJunior Japan has a native culture of teasing and ambiguity when it comes to weird sex stuff because they have different (conflicting) markets for the different fetishes (for example Ike from fire emblem having romantic (but only if you want to read it that way) supports with girls in path of radiance, romantic (but only if you want to read it that way) endings with guys in radiant dawn, and direct biological descendants in awakening, all in the same franchise so that fujoshi and normal people can both like Ike) so they’re used to throwing weird fetishists a bone with stuff like this that they know will get them fired up but not be explicit and put off normies. Feels more like that (or for some of the older stuff like sylveon, hopefully coincidence) ESG culture does not like implications. The player MUST be told in no uncertain terms that Vivian is a tranny, for example.

     Some of it is probably just the result of doing what the western branch asks, I assume.

     @ChristiJunior it feels like an ESG thing to have a character with this type of coloring, but it's just a theory, not something I'm certain about.
