   There's a stark difference between the Fediverse where you can have long form conversations and learn new things versus a platform like Twitter where people's worst online instincts are rewarded with profit sharing.

     @PraxisOfEvil @Shadowman311 twitter has been unusable since they enabled you to get paid for posting. no one has conversations. they engagement farm and post threads to try and get impressions. everyone is always "on" over there, it's just bleurgh. i still have a 2008 account that i use to follow specific accounts, but i barely use it unless it's to message a customer support account.
