   Good question. @Gargron can you please help or answer why I have approvals on, yet I have a bunch of followers (and some I am supposedly following) that I never approved, never followed, and CANNOT REMOVE OR BLOCK OR MUTE them. In fact my ability to block accounts seems to be severely diminished. And it seems random.

     @JoBlakely Could you take a screenshot of the page this appears on and send to me at eugen@joinmastodon.org? If no screenshot is possible, I at least need to know one name of an account that appears as a follower despite not being a follower.

     For this one, the three dots doesn’t work at all, and in my follows list shows as mutual.
     And yet…

     @JoBlakely How do you navigate to this page from the followers list? Normally your browser's address bar should begin with "mastodon.social" when viewing their profile. The options are not available because you are on a different website. Try clicking on this link instead: @hp and let me know if you can see the options as expected.

     @JoBlakely Do you have any user styles or browser add-ons installed that might affect how Mastodon works? Does the bottom left of your page (on your followers listt) say "v4.4.0-nightly.2024-11-15", and slightly above it, "mastodon.social"?

     How do I know how to access the account to block. How did you find that link?

     @Gargron there is nothing on my followers list page at the bottom at all.
     On my regular home page it says 4.4.0-nightly.2024-11-15

     Mastodon.social is above.

     @Gargron I now see I can remove those followers in my followers list.
     I didn’t seem to have that option before.
     This is so confusing.

     @JoBlakely Oh, do you happen to be on the "Follows and followers" page within settings? Does the address bar say mastodon.social/relationships? If you are, I would recommend navigating to the "1.6K followers" tab on your profile instead. While it won't have the bulk unfollow option, it will be overall less confusing.

     @Gargron yes.
     The 1.6k way is slow and hard to select followers by activity etc. I will try that going forward.

     @JoBlakely If you want to continue using the other way I would recommend to not click the names but rather use the checkbox on the side to select people and then use the action at the top such as "Unfollow" or "Remove from followers".
