     @itsfoss you can set up system of backups so when you mess something, you can rollback in a few minutes instead of an hour or so (looking at you, M$) and mess it up again.

     @itsfoss You can customize almost everything and choose a distro that focusses on use cases rather than corporate policy. You won't be easily locked in a proprietary system.

     @itsfoss It's customizable. You can get a stripped down version that's blazing fast, or a more luxurious version with all the bells and whistles. It's YOUR choice.

     The fact that you don't have to load the system with bloatware and third party apps to make sure that your system is secure, nowadays #linux is also target by virus and malware but generally speaking I still feel more secure in linux sticking with official distro packages and flapacks. I started trying out immutable linux distros, #universalblue aurora being a good example, this in my opinion, is a very good way forward for linux desktop. Cheers

     You will never see another ad in your start menu again.
     You will never have to wait an eternity for os updates to install again.
     You will never see the „Installing updates XX%“ boot screen again.
     You will never have to deal with annoying corporate money making decisions again.

     And finally:
     You will never have to update your apps one at a time again.
     Once Linux is set up, it is so much easier to deal with than anything else.

     @itsfoss Freedom. The freedom to choose to install whatever Linux distribution you want to (or make your own) and to do whatever you want with it on your own devices. The ability to take onboard the worlds recommendations as to why and how they use their particular distro, then empowers you to make your own mind up about what you would like to use.
