     @arstechnica As someone who works for a company in the ISP space, I've really never understood why people set up their houses with this sort of stuff. Frankly, I've lost count of the number of people who suddenly can't open garage doors or close them, can't turn their AC off (or back on again), etc., etc., simply because their Internet connectivity has gone sideways.
