     @mntmn I use a German layout keyboard these days, so the right shift key does tend to get at least some use, but back when I lived in the UK, and used a UK layout board, I don't think I ever used anything but the left shift key.

     @mntmn Born and raised on the right shift key on standard swedish qwerty layout.

     Trying to be more ambidextrous shiftwise on colemak-dh swe layout.

     @mntmn Preference: The one closest to the fingers of the hand not typing in the key that needs shifting.

     But all things being equal: I think I use the left one most...? (emphasis on "think"...)

     @drewdevault yeah, my question is mostly targeted at: which key could one optionally change into alt-gr (we currently don't have that on pocket)

     @mntmn I use both because I was never trained in touch typing and my hands are all over the place, but can operate with only one

     @Phaserune i am thinking to make an option to exchange the right shift to altgr for easy access to international symbols, i.e. for german umlauts and so on

     @mntmn I do use both but the right one far less often than the right. I would prefer both but if space was needed it could disappear.

     I'll use the left shift for keys on the right of the keyboard and vice versa!
