   I mean you do have to be sincere and do penance. Granted the penances usually given nowadays are a couple of prayers or whatever, but you do have to mean it, and your sins are relevant in terms of time spent in purgatory.

     @hourmutt @Turkleton I guess with Catholicism, you have to actually go see a priest, and through him you get forgiven. You can't just make a prayer, like most protestants believe.
