     @coolboymew These are manga im currently reading and enjoying but I’ll have to see where they go before I can heartily recommend them. Hope the anime adaptations are good I guess.

     @coolboymew Lol take it or leave it. The main couple are adorable, she’s hilarious, all their friends and classmates have really fun and interesting dynamics, all of that stuff is about as good as a school romcom can get. But MC lives with her “aunt” and every once in a while you get a “oh poor trans women their lives are so hard they just want to be themselves but they get treated differently 🥺” scene or chapter.

     @coolboymew Insomniacs after school AND the dangers in my heart are both 10/10 romance manga without (as far as I’ve read) trannies and both are airing this season also, so you have other options.

     @SerfnUSA @coolboymew Okama are disgusting (not having seen StL, I’m only guessing it’s an okama and not an actual medical tranny), and the trope of the okama with the heart of gold needs to die.

     If they’re basically joke/mocked characters, like the “okama way” karate and the associated characters in One Piece being clearly grotesque men, I can roll my eyes and ignore them. But when they’re integral to the plot (the new JumpPlus “My Gangster Neighbor”) or suddenly introduced and thrust into undeserving prominence (the MC’s “adopted” “””daughter””” in “Starting a Feifdom from Zero Citizens”, an otherwise enjoyable series) it greatly sours otherwise enjoyable ideas.

     If it’s been modernized to be an actual tranny, yeah, ditch that crap. Pump the 51%
