     @RealRaul @johnbudd1350 Originally I had only ever seen the TV show and thought huh at least it’s over. Initially I ignored the rebuild movies and ended up watching them all as the last one came out. At first they confused me but then I realized Hideaki Anno has a great distain for his audience. Armed with this knowledge the movies made complete sense. They exist to waste 464 minutes of the viewers time.

     Movies one and two are very good, they are remakes, the third one was bad and the four one... Uh, we don't talk about that one :jahy_pain:
     
     Hideaki disdain is completely earned tbh, he never wanted Eva to go on as long as it did but ppl kept buying it and buying it and well, he only followed the people's demand despite his blatant opposition to Eva's continued existence
     
     During the 2014 animator's expo, studio Khara made a whole 6 minutes music video about just how overplayed and done Eva was but nobody cared, honestly we get what we deserve, like it happened again with AoT
