   I believe trump is (soon to be) in office because a substantial fraction of the actual power elite in america want him there
   
   and I don't expect him to engage in sweeping reforms because those people are all making billions off the existing system
   
   they probably want him to rein in the insanity a bit, tap the brakes, make sure israel is getting infinity money, maybe get some medium-term tech grifts going behind protectionist policies. they don't give a flying fuck about joe sixpack

     @MeBigbrain @deprecated_ii I'm not sold on the idea he'll do it. He's too pragmatic, and the military simply isn't ready for a GWOT part 2. He may rumble and rattle, maybe do air strikes, but those are fun and the AF faggots (navy too, technically) absolutely LOVE going on deployment to slaughter people & blow up water stations

     The really big line to hold is to make sure NOBODY JOINS THE MILITARY. No matter who changes, who gets charged and shitcanned, we cannot let the boys join up because that's the readiness indicator that will hamper the deployment the most.

     Also shipbuilding to an extent. We just don't have the lift capacity for a real war, it's why they like the air attacks. Effective and easy enough to carry out logistically, cost be damned. But we can't ship tanks over 2 at a time on a C5

     @deprecated_ii Trump is just the bread and circuses to keep the goyim happy. It's a good sign that they feel they have to make any concession at all, I just hope White people don't en masses fall for it. How many stupid fools would be all for a war with Iran if Trump was the one pushing for it?
