     Keep in mind that white men couldn't get published by any mainstream publisher during the last several years. All that got published was fiction by wahmen, fags, jews and niggers. Some of them may be technically competent but without a real talent for writing. Talentlessly rehashing successful old stuff does not a good story create.
     
     I'm trying to read a book which is a recent noir detective story in some hotel. But the main hard-boiled detective character is a lesbian. The story wouldn't be bad (so far), but that character is absolutely jarring. In fact I wonder if the publisher forced the writer to change the gender of the character. Because it doesn't affect the plot and doesn't come up for long stretches, it's just sprinkled in occasionally.
