   Something I’ve noticed about funny people is that they’re observant, they’re always able to mine humor from even a boring lifestyle. Nick Rochefort hasn’t had a crazy, out-there life, having a pretty normal, healthy career track - but he paid attention to the people and situations around him to build a hefty encyclopedia or information to draw jokes from.

   When he talks about people, he’s able to reference archetypes, personalities, and attitudes that ring true because we all see them. Even when you’re working at a ‘boring’ job, pay attention to the people around you - what’s their day like? Think about them from a top-down POV, what do they do after work? Why do they do it? What’s their home life like?

   All these people are ripe fodder for some jokes when you’re riffing, you just have to pay some attention to what they do
