   the funniest part about all this FBI shit on here the last couple weeks is finding out they use outlook as a mail provider. not even the government is safe from the stranglehold gmail and other shit services hold on mail servers they dont own

     @graf It's the usual no-bid contract due to national security matters circlejerk. Obviously it's not national security, but these donors would be out bid very easily if they had actual competition.
     
     IIRC they use Oracle for databases, GCP & AWS for data lakes, AD for auth (which is likely Azure AD), AWS for compute, and Windows + Office for the paperwork. The contract postings have these as requirements, I don't think details change that much from department to department.

     @graf I hate the email racket. Instead of a protocol fix we got the big players just flagging as spam or straight up silently not delivering emails from many small self-hosted. This is why we can't have nice things.
