I will be away from home for the entire beta of MH wilds...

Either way, if you want to see the train wrack, you can try it now. But I would still recomend Rise instead.

The game is even uglier on my PC, then on youtube. Everything is blury except for the obvious dithering, that provides sharp dots across the screen.
Why do devs make this shit?
Look at the moutains in the background. Do they look sharp? Do they at least look 2010 sharp?
No... They look like something from the age of Drakan. That game was from 1999.
Also, while I was trying to set up the graphics, 1/2 of the tutorial literally played itself out on the background without my imput.
That is such a horrible way to start a game. Really caring about the first impressions here.
Max details...
My GPU is on fire.... But I still get fucking dithering? I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. I hate modern game engines. @LukeAlmighty How's the CPU performance?
@matrix
Well, I didn't measure, because my PC is up to the spec...
But I looked at the Steam screenshots from others :MonkaChrist:

Holy fucking shit, this game needs exorcism.
@LukeAlmighty Yeah, I don't think they can massively fix it before release
@beardalaxy
BTW, I agre completely.
When you look at the Phantom pain or Blacklist, both games are still using only the old 3D graphics with no insane post processing like ray Tracing. Yet, look at them. All textures perfectly sharp and readable. You can put them through as many cinematic filters as you want. And the games just look GREAT.
Where the fuck have we lost the edge? What more do you need, that you're willing to risk a complete graphical collapse in pursuit of one more reflection?
@LukeAlmighty it's crazy that games from 20 years ago have a more stable picture than current gen games do. There's no stuttering, no weird shimmering and ghosting, reflections aren't noticeably incorrect and shifting all the time, transparency is actual transparent instead of dithered... I could go on. Even 10 years ago none of this was really an issue. Sure, models and textures aren't of objectively higher quality, but there's nothing in the game that is just constantly ripping you out of the immersion. I actually end up needing to turn screen space reflection off in a lot of games because of how weird it can look. I tend to not use raytracing because of how things can get smeared with it on (which is only just now starting to be kind of fixed).
And of course, not only is the image significantly harder to look at, the games run like shit too and there isn't nearly as much artistry as there used to be. Those old games were running on systems that were using under 1gb of slow RAM.
