     @RustyCrab @waifu @BowsacNoodle there's a scam, but it's layered on top of a death cult that wants to reduce the human population by 99%, and the primary tactic used by this death cult is demonizing every last bit of human behavior. no serious scientist* thinks cow farts are a problem, but cows are kept by humans and enable humans to eat evil meat and dairy, so cows must be demonized
     
     of course we shouldn't just dump actually harmful waste into the environment in volume. but the key is "actually harmful waste" and that category is a lot smaller than people have been led to believe by the death cult. there's also a discussion to be had about accepting producing waste in the short term so we can get to the point that we don't need to produce it anymore, but that's a different kettle of fish
     
     most of what you see being released into the air these days in western countries is just water vapor. we've been offshoring our pollution for decades. as a result, it's worse than it would have been and we can't stop it anymore because it's not under our control

     @deprecated_ii @waifu @BowsacNoodle like I say, I don't argue about the science part because there's too many variables and I know nothing about it. I base my opinion off the following:
     
     1) it has every single hallmark of a scam. You need to act NOW or ALL of life as you know it WILL END. Oh and by the way it's really really really expensive and I get all the money.
     
     2) not a single thing they propose ever seriously addresses climate. Eg "ban nuclear and import infinityniggers to stop climate change". If they were genuinely fearful that the situation was urgent they wouldn't be dicking around so much.
     
     I don't need any more than that. These things usually work off of some small kernel of truth that is blown 10, 100, x1000 out of proportion. Common sense tells me that 24/7 industrial waste being pumped into the atmosphere is not going to have *no effect*. Just go to major cities and look at the skyline.

     I think indians need to watch their carbon emissions, limit their train travel, etc etc
