     @Witch_Hunter_Siegfired @DrRyanSkelton @LittleTom Touhou character designs are nice but they follow more of a vague guidelines than any hard rules so there can be a lot of variety between artists.
     
     Blue Archive designs, compared to some other gatchas are generally simpler in design and easier to draw or cosplay as, which probably helped with it's initial popularity, and as it got more popular more artfags got onto the bandwagon while also getting to know more about the characters and story, and a lot of artists seem to genuinely love Blue Archive.

     @Witch_Hunter_Siegfired @DrRyanSkelton @LittleTom Also I've heard Jap gatchas are pretty bad and solely carried by their IP (Fate Grand Order) While Chink and Gook games have to come up with original stuff and actually have to be good to succeed

     Also Kancolle, while having some really nice design, and often the designs are nicer than their Azur Lane counterparts for example is Japan exclusive, and last time I heard still a browser game, so it was never able to get as popular as Azur Lane which launched international servers pretty quickly and had a phon app. Which leads to Kancolle having less advertising budget than Azur Lane and subsequently Azur Lane becoming much more popular.

     @poopernova @DrRyanSkelton @LittleTom @Witch_Hunter_Siegfired They did eventually release a mobile app I believe. And these days the browser version runs pretty well on mobile browsers.
