   Just deleted my Tinder account.
   Thus ends a year and a half of getting nothing out of it but unanswered messages and a handful of first dates that went absolutely nowhere.
   I very frequently would just swipe for hours doing little else but compare my own stake in life unfavorably to the image other people would custom craft to make themselves look as good as possible to prospective partners.
   Unhealthy waste of my damn time.

     @cee Dating sites/apps are designed to keep people single; if you're not singe, you won't be using them anymore.
     I knew this in the back of my mind since day one, but I was kidding myself into thinking that if I was aware of this reality I could use it to temper my expectations and bend the system in my favor; in that respect, I feel I overestimated myself.
     
     It's whatever though, I should really prioritize working on myself anyway, god knows I need work.

     @Indigo FreedomCells has a dating feature now. The site is mainly used for agorists and other grassroots activists to organize. Don't be fooled by the sign up page, you can use a fake name if you want and your are encouraged not to use your address but a location to meet up. The site is run by Derrick Broze who also hosts The Conscious Resistance. @cee uses it.

     @xianc78 Tinder is used by straight and gay people, but it's often more associated with dating in the traditional sense, with hookups/FWB as an aspect of it; whereas Grindr is very specifically for hookups/FWB and is almost exclusively gay.
     
     Also I'm identifying as Bi now, it's a relatively recent development. I considered myself gay for most of my adult dating life though, and almost the entire time I've been on Fedi so it's been... strange.
