Just found out Frank Herbert's son is more of a hack that I thought.

He ruined the Butlerian Jihad not just by linking the origins to the main houses from his father's books (ridiculous to think power and organization won't change for 10,000 years), but also by making a wamen protagonist named "Butler".

Herbert's idea for the name came from the author of a satirical work in the 1800s about machines evolving.
