Complaining about AI scraping is just the same way about how big corporate complaining their infra getting scraped without consent (usually not through official API) and turned their services into alt frontend (yt-dlp, Invidious, Nitter, Proxitok, Libreddit, Freedium etc). While morally its different point of view, But in technicalities, it is just the same way.
Scraping on the in internet is an unavoidable kind of side effects. Telling people and say it out loud "Don't scrape my work/art to AI" won't make any much bigger differences in the long run (for yourself). The only way to stop it is just accepting the fact that this condition exist, and you have to move on by becoming your niche self alienating to make the scraper become uninterested.

On the other hand, individuals are powerless, to some degree. Telling people to accept this and to turn a blind eye by "moving on" only empowers such condition. It's telling people to accept their weaknesses and impotence by disguising them as virtues. Becoming one's "niche self" means believing that one has overcome this impotence while in reality keeps preserving it, similar to how "nrima ing pandum" works (abolish the Sultanate btw). -

They can sue us for stealing but we should accept it if they're the one who steal? and as artist, Generative AI only worsening the market. especially in this country where people don't really appreciate artists since before.
