     @galena @Jim Also people on fedi are stingy with their likes. All my likes on Gab are from real people, but it takes a lot less to please them so I get 3-4X the engagement I get here. (relative follower counts are irrelevant to this, my supposed 7K Gab followers are mostly dead accounts from 2016-2017)

     @Jim the thing he needs to consider is that likes on fedi are likes from actual real humans, and not algorithm enforced normie hordes being guided towards whatever encourages the most engagement, or literal spambots paid to mass like posts. one fedi like is worth a hundred, maybe a thousand twitter likes once you adjust for inflation.
