Glenn Greenwald's fans have flipped again simply because he's continue to stand still. Now he's chastising anti-woke clowns for trying to get people fired for criticizing Israel after spending years bleating about free speech.

@sun @leyonhjelm it ultimately doesn't matter what it's actually about, the end result is that the dipshit shitting on everyone in the past 8 years or so are now in an incredibly vulnerable position as they're going against the establishment that shielded them and the establishment are entirely willing to hit them this time
Will they learn the lesson quickly or are they going to entirely go down before anything was learned at all?
-
@coolboymew @leyonhjelm in this case the sides are switched because it's about defending Israel bombing the fuck out of people from criticism.

@sun
That's a known quantity. They're willing to use the enemy's weapon and the enemy's weapon is anathema. The point isn't that they are hypocrites though. The point is that the situation has reached the point where people feel too existentially threatened by the enemy's weapon to care about principles. That is the mentality that war forces on people and it should turn all of our stomachs to realize that we're in a war that has no uniforms, no formal "sides", and no rules of engagement.

@leyonhjelm has a point. I've thought about that and I cannot find a possible suitable "no more dumb warfare" position as they'll entirely ignore the principled position, as they've repetitively shown to do, they don't care that anyone took it at all and they'll just continue hitting with impunity
The best way to actually instill the lesson of "Maybe doing it in the first place was the bad idea" is to simply take it and you do it too, then maybe, maybe a lesson will be learned
Will the lesson be learned? Will they eventually go into the "principled position" again? Will the other side too? Eh, dunno

@leyonhjelm they are clearly hypocrites.

People aren't mad at him for chastising the anti-woke. They're chastising him for missing the point.
