EXCUSES :sui_disgust:
-
@Kyonko802 I do not know of a single place that sells family bottles and 2l bottles that does not sell smaller portions
-
@s8n Also if you get something that big don't eat it all in one day, or you know, fucking SHARE it like you're supposed to
-
@SpurgAnon the food industry is primed to get us addicted to this shit, it's why when people ask me for advice after seeing me lose weight I tell them not to cut it completely, but to start counting calories and eat more fruit and protein.
Am I gonna have a snickers every once in a while? Yes. Am I gonna eat a whole package of them every week? No.
-
@Kyonko802 :hana_disgust: if you're trying to lose weight, why the fuck would you be even buying chocolate bars or sodas...?
-
@Kyonko802 maybe people who are fat and stupid don't have friends to share chocolate bars with? Actually now that I'm thinking about it what business does a fat stupid person have with a single-serving chocolate bar anyway? They don't need that, there's no reason for them to have it
-
@SergeantCat @SpurgAnon This didn't happen to me but I guess it's different for everyone
-
@SpurgAnon @Kyonko802 When you're older, if you completely cut sugar abruptly, it can make you sick. It's like going through withdrawals and you can get nausea, vomiting, headaches, and even pass out. "My sugar level must have been low" is a real thing.
-
@SpurgAnon pure dark choco in yogurt tastes like dirt and milk
-
@Kyonko802 shouldn't eat amerikaner candy slop. Buy it from a proper shoppe or foreign stuff but...
For weight loss I disagree. Cut it completely and work on rewiring reward/pleasure concepts in terms of food. Want chocolate? No more candy bars, you gotta get it as pure dark chocolate bits thrown into some Greek yogurt for a desert.
-
@SergeantCat @Kyonko802 never had this issue...
-
@Kyonko802 this is straight bullshit :bep_what:
I dip into trash food occasionally and you very much can just go buy a small chocolate bar or soda. And even if you HAD to buy a family pack it doesn't mean you need to inhale it all. Self control does fucking wonders :asui_what:
-
@Minty This. I get the addiction aspect. It didn't happen to me thankfully, but it's not as addictive as drugs. You can still stop yourself relatively easily. Exercise also produces hormones that control hunger.
-
@SpurgAnon Plain fruit still tastes good to me. I never had to "readjust my pallette" when I changed my diet. Pure choco doesn't taste good, sorry.
-
@Kyonko802 no it doesn't. Your pallette is trash!
-
@Kyonko802 @SpurgAnon I drastically cut my sugar intake using tea. You can train yourself to satisfy your sugar cravings with various kinds of tea, and use a variety of herbal teas in the evening. Once you're off sodas and candy you can cut the sugar back that you put in the tea. If you're lazy enough, sometimes you will just drink the tea without putting sugar in it because the spoon is dirty. I recommend it
-
@s8n @SpurgAnon I actually really like the mildly bitter taste of plain tea. I don't even need anything fancy.
-
@SpurgAnon I like the dark choco that's not 100% pure. The slight bitterness accentuates the flavor in a very nice way.
Keep in mind I also take my coffee dark. You just won't see me shoving cocoa beans into my mouth.
-
@Kyonko802 I guess it's an acquired taste, but still my point stands. Best to drop the sugar/chemical slop and embrace proper food.
-
@Kyonko802 >liking mixed race choco
:chino_angry: lmao
-
@SpurgAnon Yeah :lewd:
