     @Rudolf_von_Goldenbaum 2000 years of Catholic doctrine are not the same as everything one pope happens to say. There's definitely converts who are dumbasses, but the core of Catholic life is to try to live a good life, go to confession, receive the Eucharist, and pray a lot. It's not so much about getting worked up over everything the pope says.

     @ArdainianRight @Rudolf_von_Goldenbaum Converts are always autistic at first. They either settle down and learn to not focus on the pope or they just walk away from it because they were more interested in larping as a traditionalist than actually focusing on Christ.
     
     I don't think that's limited to Catholicism either; converts to Orthodoxy (They all go ROCOR for some reason) are the same way. Or at least those are the ones that are particularly insufferable about it.
