@ChristiJunior @ArdainianRight @coolboymew The ideal for avatar 1 would be to see it at the cinema but somehow have the ability to fast forward so you could skip all the scenes where the protagonists talk and just enjoy the cool cgi scenery and fun creature and machine designs and occasional cool moments from Col. Quaritch. Avatar 2’s script is inoffensive enough that you don’t feel like you want to fast forward through and the underwater spectacle is even more spectacular than the environments from 1 so it’s a certifiably enjoyable cinema experience.

The main theme of “we hate Star Wars fans fuck those guys” has become more and more appealing to me in the years since it’s release, everytime I see an eggless harpy cooing over baby yoda especially my hatred for Star Wars fans grows. But a good theme doesn’t make for a good movie, and TLJ is a really uniquely shitty movie, first and foremost because it’s really long and boring and nothing happens. There’s no way around that. But second, it’s a great example of “just because we both hate the same thing doesn’t mean we are on the same page”. Rain(sp?) and I both hate Star Wars kidults but he hates them in the gayest possible way, and his expression of the “fuck Star Wars fans” theme was done in the vilest most spirituality leftist way possible. How amazing would it have been if TLJ torpedoed the franchise not by a leftist director raping the previous films for being too white and male and focused on bloodlines and great men but instead by an insane RW sperg director raping the previous films for being too liberal, anti fascist, and especially the previous film for being too black and feminist? It’s a happy dream.
