@roboneko @meso @tiskaan @animeirl Society being able to reproduce enough to perpetuate itself is an existential matter, hence marriage is a social and not merely a private institution. To redefine it in such a way as to completely sever the connection between marriage and procreation has ripple effects throughout all of society. Gay marriage is not harmless, we can clearly see all the harms that are directly downstream of gay marriage today. This is not a question of semantics, it dictates the entire orientation of society. Gay society is inherently diseased and rotten.

Gays can still do what they want, just no one else is expected to play pretend that marriage is something it isn't and can't be.

Gay marriage doesn't provide societal benefits in the way actual marriage does. Just because everything's in some sense a social construct doesn't mean all constructs are equally valid.
