   I've always been interested in the X series. They look like single player EVE online, which is perfect. Knowing how fucking huge these games are, and thus buggy. I've let X4 Foundations cook for 6 years, now I think it's finally ready to try.
   
   This is it, 10+ years in the making. Gonna fucking play this gaym.

     @crunklord420 x4 is disappointing unfortunately. I've been playing X since the beginning, ask if you need anything. X3 was the best X and if you feel disappointed by 4 you should try 3, but 3 requires mods to enable things like ship cockpits and there are like 10 releases of it so the spinup time is a little longer than x4. In x4 the split vendetta dlc is required, the game is trash without it

     @s8n I did a bit of research and started as Terran with Split Vendetta/Cradle enabled, as per what I read online. I have the rest of the DLC but supposedly Kingdom's End actually alters the progression regarding something and there was some recommendations to avoid installing at the beginning.
     
     Not sure if this is the right path or if I should enable all of them at once.

     @crunklord420 the most important thing to remember to have fun is that there is no endgame, there is no payoff, if you are grinding you are failing because when the grind is over and you get whatever you were after it doesn't really matter. The only thing that matters is having fun flying your ships, building new ships, and winning fights. There will never be a point where the game significantly changes and you switch to fleet command

     @crunklord420 you should just enable all of them probably but it doesn't matter that much. The kingdom end story doesn't progress until you intentionally progress it and most of the boron sectors stay locked behind inactive jumpgates until you solve some problem. The specifics of the boron start only really matter if you're playing a boron. The boron ships are okay but the devs made very bad balance decisions and broke entire systems with them so you won't use them much. All other ship weapons and thrusters etc. are interchangeable except the boron ones

     @crunklord420 it's easy to fall into the trap is all just make sure you're having fun actually flying the ship don't get stuck farming or doing fetch quests
