people say this shit but in the real world we live in, the federal government never stops grasping for more and more control, trying to bring literally everything under its own umbrella

they want to be able to dictate every little thing we do, but then when we ask them to actually take responsibility with the authority they claim they pass the buck right back down to us

and in the rebuilding process, the government is going to be a HUGE hindrance again. instead of being able to build perfectly safe but primitive homes for cheap to tide them over for a few years, the state and feds are going to demand that the victims jump through every bureaucratic hoop and adhere to every last little detail of the latest building code
