@s8n i paid 0$ for neither of these things :blobcatgooglybadumtss:

@s8n @icedquinn It also doubled down on breaking Fallout's preexisting lore as well as basic logic, like the whole pre-war jet or ghoul kid in the fridge debacles. At least with 3 one could make the argument Bethesda wasn't as experienced with the franchise they've acquired.

@icedquinn I saw the game in fallout 4. Someone had a vision and it was interrupted partway through and the game was released prematurely. It was supposed to be a harsh survival game. They added a little more of the survival elements in a mode that was added in a patch in like 2018 iirc. It adds a survival difficulty which makes rads extremely difficult to cure, adds hunger thirst and sleep needs, adds diseases and conditions like injuries, makes a crippled limb require a doctor to heal, etc.
Basically half the game is still missing after that patch.

@s8n tbh i haven't even looked at what shattered space does outside of BestGuest's video memeing on it.
i didn't know they could make a game worse than fallout 4.
-
@icedquinn yeah but which one is worse

@mint @icedquinn I know most fallout fans wanted a serious story with one continuous timeline but that's not what fallout ended up being. Each game takes place in its own little universe like a TV show and elements of any given game are not necessarily going to be present in another

@s8n @icedquinn True that, Van Buren's leaked design docs felt even more insane in some parts than Bethesda's games. Still, having more coherency between parts would've come a long way.

@mint @icedquinn idk if they can come back from 76 though it's real bad
