   ordered a dell u2724de monitor for my home to see if i can use it as a charger+hub+monitor for rk3588 pocket reform based home workstation. will need to connect 2 cables to dock: 1x usb-c (with pd) and 1x micro-hdmi for display. mouse + keyboard will stay connected to the monitor.

     i am now on a 4-day long weekend/holiday but earlier this week i was hacking a bit on the hdmi (esp secondary hdmi) driver code for rk3588 and 1440p @ 120Hz worked fine in a quick test, so this should be a comfy setup.

     @mntmn i'm doing some research for a client into HDMI to DP-alt mode over USB Type C, once I've done that research/Analysis I can share my findings / proof of concepts (the client agreed to an open source approach)
     Might be useful to create an all-in-one solution for future revisions?

     @wimvangool oh yeah, very useful! i have some experience with STDP2600 but it's unfortunately end-of-life now we got everything working...

     @mntmn drawback #1 the IC requires proprietary firmware to operate, but it looks like the license does not prohibit to re-implement it yourself in open source firmware... (But I'm no lawyer)
     Current solution would be the Lontium LT6711A chip.
