     Ouch. I think it's probably that the translation patch was sloppy (and my hack may or may not have made this worse).

     @P Could not get it running on my MAME cabinet or my R/W cart. I suspect 100 world story had some custom chip in it. That's usually where I run into problems.
     
     I found a working version and got it running on my son's retropie:
