   I had a thought:
   Troll's remorse has nothing to do with real remorse.
   
   It is a way to keep being an egotistical, short-sighted retard after a culture change.
   
   They just pick the side that will let them be the same power crazed, hedonistic, insufferable cunt they always were.

     @lauralt I'd say it's not a "remorse" in moral sense per se, but shielding oneself behind what's considered a virtue in current societal climate as to not have your own ass handed by the very people you were antagonizing before. Similar mindset to how organized crime bosses donate their dirty money to churches and stuff.
