Nostr mainly (unless the mainstream clients make it impossible to add uncensored relays) fixes the fediverse’s issue of intentional sabotage by triggered jannies or bad actors by having everything spread across relays rather than centralized on individual instances that can go dark at any time. Some aspects of it are worse than the already shitty ActivityPub (including the maxis calling for censorship after the fedi migration put their supposed pro-free speech stances to the test) but does a lot more better.
Assuming this gets no votes, it’ll be to my discretion. But I want to have the “community” of sorts engage beforehand.

If so, there are Fediverse instances that are pretty lax on it, such as FSE. You can also run your own fediverse instance if you so choose, which mitigates that issue. You have several frontends to choose from as well. Honestly I think the N*str hype is manufactured by people who automatically think that NEW THING is better than OTHER THING because there's a new label slapped on it.
I believe that bubble of interest will pop soon, and putting all your eggs in one basket seems silly. Then again, that's partially what the fediverse is. The fediverse is a bridge between total decentralization and centralization.Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

Matty-kun :Christmas_kitty_bell: (matty@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Wednesday, 15-Mar-2023 10:53:53 JST Matty-kun :Christmas_kitty_bell: Moderation here is handled at the discretion of "jannies" as you call them, as well as clients. There is little difference in that regard - only how it is applied. Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

Nothing at the protocol level (yet).
