I started working on the story outline for God's Disdain 2 alongside some mechanics I'd like to have in it. It's still quite a ways out, but it's good to get some thoughts together sooner when I have the time and inspiration for it. FF16 has really put me in the mood but fantasy writing.

:meru_B: b e a r d (beardalaxy@gameliberty.club)'s status on Thursday, 26-Sep-2024 10:58:24 JST :meru_B: b e a r d @xianc78 it needs to be a specific type of game to do stuff like that, i think. it's not really the kind of game i want to make. my general idea for the third one might work with some sort of procedural generation, but who knows, that's waaaay far out. for this, i want to make something with a robust main story and much more detailed areas. basically a lot more focused instead of offering a lot of variety.
this game will have decent replayability though, i'd reckon. i've got an idea right now to make all of the side characters vulnerable in combat... as in they can permanently die. being alive or dead will affect their parts of the story and the ending.
