Milei continues to rail on journalists for spreading misinformation. And when they accuse him of being anti-free speech for exposing them when they lie, he doubles down. This is the correct approach, as they are going to continue hating him no matter what.
Unfortunately, I cannot see what the fake news being spread here were because the journo deleted the tweet the chancellor is replying to.

@Rasterman @lethn
Journalists deserve to be buried alive in excrement.

The problem is with these journalists is the whole plan is to get you bogged down into endlessly defending yourself when they can't make you adopt their positions.
Unfortunately it's a pretty common tactic across the internet and I hate it, these days sometimes it's better to just give the silent treatment after telling them to fuck off and only spend your time on people who will treat you fairly.
It's a bit like with Trump where sometimes you just think, for fuck's sake get off the internet, you've got a whole country to run and you don't need to waste your time on twitter freaks or any other hive mind and that's coming from me because I'm online constantly but I at least have a legitimate reason for it with my coding.

@lethn I don't disagree with that, but also that's not what Milei does: he stopped defending himself a long time ago; he now goes on the attack every time a journo does something despicable. Like the other day a random reporter insulted a member of the military to his face and it became a huge thing where even Milei commented on it.
Until recently, journalism was regarded as this holy institution that protects democracy. Everyone knew journos gave different views depending on which media organisation they worked for, but it was understood they had a monopoly on truth.
They were not ready to be fact-checked by shitposters. Shitposters the president retweets. They are flipping out now.
Trump called journos the enemy of the people. They are being treated as such now. :0550:
