HOW MUCH POWER DOES A SLUSH BOX STEAL FROM THE ENGINE
I WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE AN EXPONENTIAL THING DEPENDING ON RPM BUT LIKE ON AVERAGE
-
@not_benis @nugger SHE WAS UNDER 18 L/1000km YOU SICK FUCK
-
@birdulon @nugger priussy uoh
-
@nugger also possible their data includes Priuses etc. which will obviously destroy non-hybrids in these measurements

The classic three-element torque converter has an efficiency curve resembling ∩: zero efficiency at stall, generally increasing efficiency during the acceleration phase, and low efficiency in the coupling phase. Typical stall torque multiplication ratios range from 1.8:1 to 2.5:1, with a trade-off between maximum torque multiplication and efficiency.
WHAT THE FUCK THAT'S HORRIBLE
HOW IS THIS THE INDUSTRY STANDARD WHEN EVERYONE IS TRYING TO SQUEEZE FUEL EFFICIENCY

@nugger idk what the current spread of slushbox vs DCT vs CVT vs DCT/CVT incorporating slushbox is, but average automatic transmission efficiency is very high by EPA measurements since 2010 or so.
